Pastor Jim
Celebrating the life of

Pastor Jim Cobrae

As we gather to celebrate the life and legacy of Pastor Jim, we are reminded of the profound impact he had on all who knew him. Like the faithful figures in Hebrews 11, Pastor Jim exemplified unwavering faith, guiding and inspiring us through life's trials and triumphs.

In this time of remembrance, the family invites you to share your cherished memories, reflections, and messages of comfort. Whether it's a heartfelt story, a cherished moment, or a simple message of condolence, we thank you for sharing.

Pastor Jim was a man of God, a disciple of Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit. It brought a smile to my face when I saw the Rock Dollar at his services. It reminded me of the amazing Children’s Ministry I was able to experience as a child and serve in as an adult. Pastor Jim had many memorable quotes and one of my favorite ones is, “Somebody’s gotta love you enough to tell you the truth.” The truth is Jesus.

We were saddened to hear about the Home Going of Pastor Jim. Larry and I joined the Rock Church in 2005 and were blessed to have served under Pastor Jim’s leadership until we relocated in 2015. I have several precious memories, however my favorite is the time we hosted Pastor Jim and Deborah at our home in Yucaipa for dinner. We decided we would cook dinner for them, which was a blessed time of fellowship as they shared their vision for the church and we discussed what the Lord would have us to do in reference to support. I decided that I would make a special dessert called a “Dump Cake,” which Pastor Jim really enjoyed. I began making it for him on special occasions. We are so thankful for his faithfulness and guidance. He taught us how to serve and honor the Lord! To Pastor Deborah and the family, may our Lord continue to bring comfort during the days and weeks ahead. I take comfort in knowing that I will see Pastor Jim in the future! Well done great man of God! Larry and Gail Charles Wright

My husband Dale and I were recalling when during COVID Pastors Jim and Deborah hosted a Zoom meeting for the Marrieds group. It was the best! I loved how they displayed their love for each other. We are praying for Pastor Deborah and the entire family. He will be greatly missed. Thank you Cobrae''s for sharing Pastor Jim with us.

I never meet a man like Pastor Jim who demonstrated Gods divine nature of loved commitment and humility. Thank you for such a great Blessings to all nations esp. Philippines. You are always remembered and valued. May Gods loved peace comfort be with Debbie and family and The Rock Church Family. We love you

Pastor Cobrae was one of the Pastors at New Life Fellowship in Colton in the 1990s; it was a midweek service and Pastor Cobrae preached; and God The Holy Spirit took the verse he preached on (Psalm 37:37 Mark the perfect man for the end of that man is peace) and moved my heart in a special way that night. The verse was in my heart to stay. Today during his “Celebration of Life” the amplified version was shared referencing our Beloved Pastor Cobrae…Amen, Amen. Thank You Father for Pastor Cobrae’s beautiful life in following You, serving You, encouraging and loving people with the love of Jesus. ♥️✝️

:( I AM sadden and full of joy of Pastor Jim in the presence of ABBA FATHER... Pastor took care of me and my family. No hesitation. Forever grateful and pass it forward..gracias

I believe the year was 2002 when I was doing community service at The Rock Church (old building) for the bus ministry and just before going home I had caught only 10 minutes of Pastor Jim speaking about God’s love and then giving an alter call. I knew right then that God had spoken to me and I began my spiritual journey. What a privilege it has been to witness such an example of a man and be a part of what God has provided to us through Pastor Jim. I will forever be grateful. 2010 was such an impactful year for me when he began preaching the book of Hebrews. It was a time in my life that I grew the most spiritually. I was attending church 3-4 times a week, Men’s breakfast, Young adult’s Shift service and driving the church buses for two years for all services. I never got a chance to meet Pastor Jim on a personal level but he was more of an example of how we should live than any person In my life. What an inspiration it is to witness a man live and be remembered for sharing God’s love.

The service was a beautiful celebration of Pastor Jim’s life, and we were honored to be there. His impact and legacy are incredible. Hearing about how good of a dad he was really spoke to me and encouraged me. Love you guys so much!

Today was beautiful celebrating pastor Jim’s Legacy. I was saved in 1997 at the old building it was the alter call where my life was changed as a single mom I than married & served in this house for years and dedicated my babies here. My families life was changed because of the yes for San Bernardino. I'm forever so thankful.

Ps Jim wasn't just a great man of God, a wonderful father and husband, and an anointed leader; he was, above all, a grand testimony of what happens when a soul is submitted to the Kingdom of God. His legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to inspire us all. Thank you Jesus!

I will forever be grateful for Pastor Jim. His teachings along with pastor Deborah, pastor Dan, and pastor Jessica about "raising children for the kingdom of God," changed my life. The men's breakfast back in 2010's with pastor Jim were the best real moments we gathered as men. He was talking to us and being transparent on everything we go through. Thank you for the word of the Lord that you gave me a while back on a personal conversation pastor Jim. All the glory to King Jesus.
